Frank McLane, Sr founded the company in 1954. Todd joined his father in business in 1977, followed by Chad nearly 20 years ago. Chad and Todd are located in Montgomery, Texas along with their team of six support staff who have over 30 years of knowledge and experience.

York McLane, JD
Graduating from Law School in 2004, York spent several years fighting the war on terror as a JAG officer with the US Army serving in the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii. Upon leaving the service, York entered private practice where for another five years did Estate Planning Law assisting high net worth Individuals in protecting, preserving, and passing along their assets to the next generation. Seeing the benefits associated with sound financial planning, York transitioned into his current role as a full-service Financial Advisor with McLane Advisors in 2012. His expertise in law and estate planning richly benefits our clients in many diversified ways. York manages McLane Advisors with his partners.York is married with four beautiful children and together, they enjoy travelling, 4X4 off-roading, and anything outdoors.
Daniel Ure, JD
Daniel Ure grew up as the third of eleven children in Las Vegas. He graduated summa cum laude and University Honors from BYU, where he also attended law school, graduating cum laude on the Law Review. Before joining the family business in late 2010, Daniel practiced commercial litigation and then securities law with an AmLaw 100 law firm in downtown Houston where he managed multi-billion dollar securitizations and derivative contracts. Daniel lives in Magnolia, Texas with his wife and five sons on a small farm. He enjoys international travel, history and working with livestock and boys on his farm.
Matt McLane
After graduating from BYU and finishing up his education, Matt joined McLane Advisors in 2005. Matt brings a unique passion for the markets and how they operate on a macro level which has uniquely benefited our firm and our clients.
He is especially gifted in relationship management and plays a key role in client outreach. A musician and songwriter by gift and passion, Matt often provides fresh perspectives that assist the firm in looking at complex issues in diverse ways. He now manages McLane Advisors with his partners. Outside of music, Matt also enjoys saltwater aquariums, off-roading through the mountains, and gardening. He is a devoted husband to a woman he does not deserve and a father to four amazing children. You will often hear him declaring that he loves what he does, but he does what he does to gain the resources to spend meaningful time with his family.
Todd McLane
The company was founded in 1954 by Todd’s father, Frank McLane, Sr.
Todd joined the business in 1977. With almost 50 years of experience, he has witnessed economic cycles, changes in technology and expanding investment landscapes while developing strong client relationships. Todd continues to be involved in the business in every detail.
He is fortunate to be partnered with a third generation, his son, Chad McLane.
In his free time, Todd enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
He stands strong in our company motto, which is, “Do what’s right and let the consequence follow."
Frank McLane
After two years as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, two years of military service during the Vietnam War, graduating from Texas A&M with a BS degree, and in the meantime getting married and starting a family that resulted in four fine boys, Frank joined the McLane Advisors team in 1976. Through the years he has watched the financial world evolve, requiring him to continually adapt new or modified tools, investment vehicles, and strategies. His experience and knowledge are not only invaluable to the firm, but especially to our clients. He enjoys traveling with his wife of fifty-one years and his son’s families, hunting, fishing, cowboy mounted shooting, and other shooting sports (longest shot to date: 1351 yards!).
Angela Gideon
Angela Gideon has been with McLane Advisors for just over 17 years assisting our clients with their initial retirement process, policy service and the daily management of our office. She enjoys spending time with her husband, her set of twins, and supporting/volunteering in church, community, and team activities. She Currently reside in Montgomery, Texas with her family.
Mendy Bowsher Office Manager
Since March 2000, Mendy has been providing client services with a focus on assisting clients throughout the retirement process.
Additionally, Mendy oversees the staff in Montgomery to ensure the office runs smoothly and the staff continues to achieve their goals.
In her free time, Mendy enjoys reading, crafting, and traveling with her family as much as possible. She currently lives in Cypress, Texas with her husband and children.
Micayla Wischnewsky
Since joining McLane Advisors in 2014, Micayla has been helping clients by providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a strong business relationship. Micayla is a native Texan and enjoys spending her free time outdoors making memories with her family.
Robbin Thorpe
With over 30 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, Robbin has spent the last 2 years providing exceptional customer service for both our prospective & current clients. Robbin enjoys cooking & spending time with her kids & grandkids. She currently lives in Cypress with her husband.
Tara Harrison Marking Director
Tara focuses on marketing, compliance and project management while also providing client services and support with administrative tasks.
Her outgoing personality and ability to identify trends, opportunities and strategic marketing plans while ensuring they are aligned with company goals make her an asset to our team.
Tara lives in Montgomery, Texas with her husband and children. She is an amazing cook who enjoys gardening and growing her own vegetables.
